Garlic chutney

fresh/dessicated coconut: 1 small bowl
dry red chilly                  : 3
garlic cloves                   :4 big size
pepper corns                   :5
vate huli/tamarind flakes: 2-3 flakes
salt to taste

  • slightly burn roast the red chillies directly on flame on all sides. Take care not to burn completely
  • dry roast the garlic cloves on a pan 
  • Now add all the ingredients (coconut, pepper, roasted chilly, garlic, salt, vate huli/tamarind) in a mixer jar and grind with little water

  • grind coarsely and do not make a paste
  • serve with dosa and Idli
