Ingredients:
1 bowl : cooked rice1 big : onions, chopped
1/2 tspn : turmeric powder
2-3 : green chilly slit
6-7 strands : fresh coriander
1-2 tbspn : lemon juice
1 tspn : salt
1 pinch : sugar
For tempering:
3tbsp oil, 1 tspn mustard seeds, 1 tbsp jeera, 2 tbsp groundnuts, 10-12 curry leaves, 1/2 tbspn urad daal,1/2 tbspn channa daal, Pinch of asafoetida
Method:
- Precook the rice .Keep aside
- Take oil in a kadai . Prepare for the tempering. Once oil is hot enough add mustard, groundnuts, urad daal and channa daal, wait till they start to crackle. Then add jeera, curry leaves n green chilly, pinch of asafoetida, turmeric powder and onions. fry till onions become translucent . Add salt n sugar to taste.
- Transfer the pre cooked rice into this mixture, lemon juice, mix properly n close a lid ,cook for 5 more mins on low heat. Finally garnish it with chopped coriander leaves. Turn off the gas
